What better way to boost one’s self-confidence than with a trip to our luxury salon and spa? We provide salon services right in our community with one salon open at Heron’s Key and another salon at Penrose Harbor Health Center.
With over 30 years of experience in the hair and beauty industry, Heron’s Key Salon Director Joseph Michael aims to provide a one-of-a-kind experience for every client who visits the salon.
“When people look good, they feel good,” Joe said. “We offer services to people in a secure environment and they always feel better after they leave the salon.”
The salons are equipped with modern equipment made to fit every client. Hydraulic shampoo bowls that can be adjusted for someone who is in a wheel chair are readily available at the Penrose Harbor Salon. The staff at Heron’s Key and Penrose Harbor salons are passionate about their clients as many of them see residents behind their chair at least once a week.
“We build relationships with our clients,” Joe said. “Our stylists are there to listen to clients’ stories and make them feel as comfortable and welcome as possible.”
There are two experienced stylists and a masseuse on staff. Services include manicures, pedicures, haircuts, hair styles, color services and massages. Massages are available every other Tuesday by appointment.
Joe’s barber training has made him a favorite among male clients as he specializes in the traditional men’s cut of a hot towel on the neck and razor shave.
The salons are having a promotion through August that includes a free blow dry with any haircut. Heron’s Key salon hours are Wednesday and Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Tuesday by appointment only. Penrose Harbor salon is open Thursday by appointment only.
